The new version 2.0 of the Firefox® Browser was extremely improved. Here are the most important changes: visual refresh: the usability was improved by a clear theme and a new user interface. Javascript 1.7: all features of Javascript 1.6 are included and combined with the powerful new features of Javascript 1.7. improved add-ons manager: easy to install add-ons integrated phishing protection: "bad" phishing sites are detected and the user is warned before it is too late. enhanced search capabilities: whenever a user types in the integrated search box when using a search enginge like Google search term suggestions will appear. This is a clear advantage for finding a search term that even could fit better and lead to better search results Improved Tabbed Browsing: instead of using new windows links are opened in so called tabs for a better overview. resume of the browser session: even after a system crash you can continue at the point before the crash. No matter if text typed in forms, windows, texts or in-progress downloads from the last session. The user is able to resume the previous browser session without any problem. Inline spell checking: the user is able to check the spelling of text entered into web forms without having to use a separate application. extended search plugin format: now search engine plugins are supported. It is even possible to make use of search term suggestions. |
